Energy-saving, environmental protection, new materials and industry upgrades for future development: those are the key components of China's 12th Five-Year Plan, as more and more manufacturing industries are focusing on eco-conscious materials and equipment. As a result of the plan, the Chinese government is now dedicated to the development of technologies like smart grids, wind power, solar power, and new energy cars, all of which are all closely linked to plastics and rubber. "Given this development trend together with government's proactive efforts to stimulate domestic demand, the plastics and rubber industries will be further enhanced," notes Adsale, organizer of Chinaplas International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries, now in its 26th year.

Chinaplas show floorHeld at Shanghai New International Expo Centre (April 18-21, 2012), Chinaplas 2012 will introduce advanced products, technologies and solutions from all around the world. According to Adsale,  a wide range of high-end machines, value-added new materials and innovative products will be showcased to satisfy diversified purchasing needs of both Chinese and overseas buyers.

Ada Leung, Adsales's assistant general manager called growth of the 2012 edition of the show "surprisingly high."  In addition to all 17 exhibition halls in the east, west, and north wings of the fairground, the organizer will also set up exhibition halls at the central square to expand the machine and raw material exhibition areas.

Adsales noted that this expansion not only satisfies long-time exhibitors, allowing them to enlarge their booth areas, but it also accommodates more new comers. With such expansion, the total exhibition area is expected to hit a new record high of 200,000 sq m, an increase of 33.3% over the last edition held at Shanghai in 2010. The four-day exhibition is expected to attract more than 100,000 trade visitors from 140 countries or regions and more than 100 groups of delegations.

Among the exhibitors are the biggest names in raw materials supply, incluing DuPont, Sabic, Borouge, BASF, Bayer, Dow, ExxonMobil Chemical, and Lanxess, as well well-known machinery suppliers like Haitian, Chen Hsong, Husky, Borch, SHI, EDI, Fangli, Liansu, Jwell, Jinhai, Dalian Totani, Demark, AKEI, Matsui, Kawata, Wu Xi Yang Ming, Tongyu, Zerma, Avian, and Conair.

Adsale anticipates more than 2600 exhibitors from 35 countries and regions plus 13 country/region pavilions ranging from Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, PR China, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, U.K. and the U.S.

The Chinese market now accounts for about 20% of the global market for plastics processing machinery, reflecting the country's current importance as well as its enormous potential for further growth.Chinaplas show floor
