Shut-off nozzle manufacturer Herzog AG (Degersheim, Switzerland) on October 1 opened a new subsidiary, Herzog Injection Technology Inc., with its goal to expand its presence in North America via this company. The new offices are led by Michael Viggiano from its U.S. HQ in Essex, MA. The shut-off mechanism of Herzog’s powered units functions either with a needle or bolt closing system, and is controlled by a pneumatic, hydraulic or, introduced recently, an electromagnetic actuator.
