Tyco’s efforts included its attention to energy consumption as well as to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, water and waste waster consumption, and to increasing its material recycling. The company has committed to investing only in electric machines, assuming these fulfil processing requirements. For Arburg this means half of the 149 injection molding machines it has supplied to Tyco Electronics to facilities in Europe and North and South America since 2006 have been electric Allrounder Alldrive models. —mpweditorial@cancom.com
