SPI Processors Conference launches in November

SPI, the Plastics Industry Trade Association (Washington, DC), has let it be known that the organization's first Processors Conference will be held in Irving, TX, November 16-18, 2010, and that it has lined up key speakers on both business and technical topics.
The Business of Plastics Processing sessions will include such topics as mergers and acquisitions in the processing industry; resin trends and forecasting; and a business roundtable with real-time discussion.
Technical session plans include a workshop on regulatory compliance & customer assurance, FDA 101, and Global GMP requirements. And sessions on global future trends encompass such subjects as bioplastics.
SPI committees participating in the Processors Conference are: Film & Bag; Food, Drug & Cosmetic Packaging Materials; Medical Products; and Emerging Issues. Among the latter's topics will be bioplastics, nanotechnology, and navigating multi-generational workplaces.
