Sumitomo (SHI) Demag Plastics Machinery GmbH has announced the addition of two new machines available for customer trials in its Schwaig, Germany Application Centre. The new machines have clamping forces of 1600 and 10,000 kN.

The range of machines at the Centre extends from the standard injection molding machines of the Systec series to the all-electric IntElect series and the El-Exis SP hybrid high-performance line.

Besides trials, the Centre is used for machine acceptance and performance tests, as well as internals test, presentations, and the addition of larger production cells.

The Schwaig Centre's newest machine stock includes a Systec multi 160, a hydraulic multicomponent machine with 1600 kN clamping force, and a Systec 1000, with 10,000 kN clamping force, allowing mold and operating tests in the one- and two-component range. The Centre also includes tempering devices, conveyor belts, dryers, and hoses with Hasco couplings and clamping claws as needed.

Sumitomo Demag currently has four plants across Japan, Germany and China with more than 3000 employees, and produces a range of all-electric, hydraulic, and hybrid machines with clamping forces ranging from 120-20,000 kN.
