Best Suction Cup Material

Hi everyone!
I have a question that hopefully you all can help me on:
I have an application used for dry board erase markers (markers used in classrooms). Cutting to the chase, I have a mold made out of vinyl where I can insert the marker and on the back part there are 3 small suction cups also made of vinyl; the entire piece is a single piece made of vinyl. I need this application (including the marker) to stick on to surfaces such as: dry erase boards, glass, walls, etc... I went with vinyl because I thought it would do the job and of course vinyl is pretty cheap compared to other materials. Unfortunantely, I was wrong because the application would come off surfaces in hours and I need it to stay stuck onto whatever for a minimum of a couple of days.
What material would any of you suggest I used instead of vinyl? Please keep in mind: the application isn't heavy at all and there are 3 small suction cups doing the holding. Also, price is an issue -- I don't need the best material that will hold this marker on a wall for a year but I do understand that any other material will cost me more than the vinyl.
I appreciate any of the help!!
Thanks!

It never ceases to amaze me

It never ceases to amaze me how the suction cup has so many versatile applications like this for such a low tech gadget. It has survived through many technical revolutions.

Thanks

Brent, My mistake, I used

Brent,

My mistake, I used silicone not vinyl. The mold I have is injected with silicone meaning the entire piece is made out of silicone (the socket where you put the marker in and the suction cups in the back). Does that make sense?

What do you know about vinyl suction cups, "super soft vinyl" and TPE.

Thanks!

Camilo

Let me get this right,your

Let me get this right, your mold "is made of vinyl"?

Have you tried wetting the cups with your tongue before applying? (Room temp cups please).

Keep on Molding!

My mistake. I didn't use

My mistake. I didn't use vinyl, I used Silicone.

I'm looking for something stretchy like Silicone but strong like Vinyl. I have heard of "super soft vinyl" and "TPE"..

Sorry for the mistake!
