This place used to beTHEleader for injection molders to exchange info, learn, grow, and communicate real current issues-, not now! What's it gonna take to make this place worth visiting again?

Tony, When are you, the
Tony,
When are you, the magazine, going to stop all these Chinese molders & mold making companies from using this forum as their free advertising spot? I cannot go through even one day without some company touting how wonderful they are and can solve the worlds molding problems. When I have posted on the site with potential solutions or questions, my inbox becomes chocked full of junk mail from these same Chinese companies.
I log onto your site with the idea of learning as well as sharing my knowledge with others. A few years ago when you incorporated other magazines into the site, we had similar problems. I had been in contact with Jaime, who managed the site then, and was told the same story you are saying about how all the issues with the site will be addressed. Well, here we are approximately 3 years later and we are still talking about the same problems and promising solutions.

I understand your frustration
I understand your frustration and want you all to know that we consider this forum, in particular the once-vibrant injection molding discussion, to be a key component of this site now and going forward. We are in the midst of updating the site and I will make sure that spamming issues, and general functionality, are addressed.
In the meantime, if you have specific concerns/questions, please feel free to contact me directly.

This forum went to hell in a hand basket about 3 years ago when they decided to incorporate extrusion & other processing. This is about the same time they merged with Modern Plastics. They also got rid of several good people who moderated the forum properly. Now almost every post is anonymous. I am getting to a point where I don't want to waste my time here.

What does it
What does it take?
intelligent questions
The elimination of spamming
Kicking people off who blatantly promote their products (it is possible to buy ads)
A moderator who can delete comments and posts that are off topic.
A completely open forum (not requiring you to sign in and un-moderated) turns quickly into trash. If you want that, join LinkedIn or Match.com
