The main reason of going for
The main reason of going for the insert design is to have better manufacturability , easy replacement for changes and ofcourse ejection..but we fail to provide the most efficient cooling channels which decides the part quality and the cycle time.. Now there is a new technology called laser cusing which can be used for the manufacturing along with the conformal cooling design, which runs closer to the contour. Pl get in touch with me for further details.. You get better product quality and cycle time savings upto 40%..

Jesse, It is often a
Jesse,
It is often a conflict to decide how many inserts should be built. The more inserts built, the easier for cutting steel and venting, but more difficult for cooling and fitting. For your Box, I propose to make 5 or 10 inserts on core side. If the part is small enough for a wirecutting machine, 5 inserts is OK, otherwise 10. I have drawn a sketch for you, let me try whether I can upload.

I, have been to China, and know that there is no bread. I was just joking.
Many people here view China as the enemy, though it was our politicians that sold us out.
I actually like Chinese people, food and culture. A long time ago I had a Chinese girlfriend, but her dad wanted her to marry a Chinese man.
Really I am not anti-Chinese, I just get tired of hearing from Chinese mold makers. I think that erveryone in China is either a cook or a moldmaker.

Jesse James, and Wild Bill,
It aint like the good ol' days when you could bring bullets to work or to school (show and tell).
So buy a box of fishing lures or flies.
Durn Chinese, they take our "bread" and want us to show them how to do it?
That's grounds for expulsion from the IAIM, if WTO won't do it, we will!

Bill,

James is flaunting his Chinese Company and is arrogant enough not to say he's done anything similar to your needs. Don't use him. Also rat him out to the Web Witch and get him banned from this forum. If he wants to advertise, let him buy an ad.
Your Problem -
Go to your local sporting goods store - buy a box of .30-.30, 7.63mm or 9mm bullets. They usually mold something quite similar to what you're looking for as separators for the bullets. If you can't bring bullets to work, for a few bucks ask the guy at the counter for a bullet box that can hold your reloaded bullets. Here again you'll see what has been specified in your picture.
Buy it, section it, look at the draft angles, gate locations etc. and you can now make your part. Many of these inserts are made in sections. Each bar of ribs is fit together. This allows for venting between ribs. If you look at the Remington 9MM bullet container they use material savers/spacers in between the ribs. These are vented pin.
Many ways to skin the cat. Your reload box tends to be make of HDPE, the bullet holders are anything from HIPS to ABS. Get them under a microscope and the insert lines will tell all. Some people make the entire grid out of one piece and vent where necessary.
Good Luck
