Can someone please tell me the name of the plastic that microfiche film is made of? I've looked everywhere online and can't find it anywhere. My librarian found this site. I asked them and they only know it's "some sort of plastic."
Is there a similar type of plastic that one can buy retail in sheets (8.5" X11"). Same thickness?
Lastly, I looked at the plastics dealers/manufacturers in my state and there are hundreds. What sort of company can I approach to have a prototype created?
Any info would be greatly appreicated.

Cellulose acetate, I

Cellulose acetate, I believe.

But this would be an extruded sheet, better question for that forum. I will ask around, happy hunting.
