stirrer design

Hi,
I try to design a stirrer object made from polystyrene. This stirrer should be used for hot beverages. Mechanical and thermal properties are important for this object. While strirring in a cup filled with a hot beverage, the fluid mechanics could be also considered. I am a little bit confused. If anyone has any objection please help me.
