With its drive gears formed directly into the rollers, the patented PosiGrip Accumulation Conveyor from TKF Inc. (Cincinnati, OH) has no separate sprockets or gears and no welded drive components. The rollers are powered by smooth operating and quiet synchronous belting in a positive drive. Absence of metal-to-metal contact means no lubrication is required. All electrical components can be self-contained within the side frame, which eliminates the need for wiring back to PLCs and reduces the cost of field wiring. The conveyor is ideal for both clean environments as well as for tough, rugged applications where noncontact between conveyed product is crucial. PosiGrip also features noncontact, zero-pressure accumulation. stephen.moore@cancom.com
