Express robot configuring
Published: February 10th, 2010
Robotic setup just got that little bit easier through a collaboration of Denso Robotics (Long Beach, CA) and National Instruments (Austin, TX). The joint effort employs a set of easy-to-use graphical functions that enable users to control and program Denso robots and peripheral devices from within a single LabView application.
“Although our robots are well-known in the industry for being easy to set up and program, this new LabView library makes it even easier,” says Peter Cavallo, robotics sales manager, Denso Sales California. “Also, many of our customers are already using LabView. For them, the library is a convenient way of integrating Denso robots into their applications without having to learn a new programming language.”

The NI ImagingLab Robotics Library for Denso can be used as a stand-alone module or along with the LabView Real-Time Module, which allows design and graphical programming of real-time applications. The library can also be used with NI Smart Cameras for vision-guided robotics and NI data-acquisition hardware for measurement applications. —immeditorial@cancom.com
