Two new temperature sensors from RJG Inc. (Traverse City, MI) give processors new options for cavity monitoring. The TS-FM01M-K 1-mm flush-mount temperature sensor is a machinable miniaturized K-type cavity temperature sensor designed for applications where small size and fast reaction are important. It is also available in a nonmachinable sensor tip type (TS-FM01-K).
The TS-SL01.5-K 1.5-mm spring-loaded temperature sensor is a miniaturized K-type temperature sensor designed for applications where avoiding witness marks is a design requirement. It can be mounted behind the cavity surface, ensuring no marks are left on the part and avoiding flash. Its removability also allows for easy maintenance.
