Bioresin distribution

Compounder A. Schulman (Akron, OH) has reached a distribution agreement with bio-based resin manufacturer Cereplast Inc. (Hawthorne, CA), pushing its materials beyond North America. Under the agreement, A. Schulman will distribute Cereplast’s Compostables and Hybrids resins in France, the Benelux, and Spain.

Exclusive rights

Hot runner temperature controller manufacturer PMS Systems (Hereford, England) has given Innovative Manufacturing Solutions Inc. (IMSI) exclusive rights to distribute, sell, support and service PMS’s equipment in North America.

Sabic’s UHMWPE bid

Plastics supplier Sabic Europe (Sittard, The Netherlands) has added an ultrahigh-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) range to its portfolio, with four grades now available. Sabic’s move places it in head-to-head competition with the global leader in UHMWPE  supply, Ticona.—mpweditorial@cancom.com
