The facility will supply the agricultural, food, retail, and industrial markets in the central and East Coast regions of the U.S. Macro received cooperation from the county, its industrial development foundation, city officials, and the state of Kentucky. It plans to retain some of the workforce from the previous facility owners.

Production of Macro's MacroBin line of vented solid-wall containers for the agricultural market; ProBin line of

solid-wall and collapsible containers for food processing; ShuttleBin line of foldable containers for the retail market; and the MacroTrac line of portable flooring will start in the spring of 2010. Not included at this time is the IsoBin line for the automotive and industrial markets. The company also has locations in Union Gap, WA; Lexington, KY; and Southfield, MI. According to its website, the company has manufacturing at two of the sites, utilizing high-pressure large-clamp-tonnage injection molding, as well as rotational molding, for the creation of the bins. mpweditorial@cancom.com
