Articulated optics for coordinate measuring machines

Werth Messtechnik GmbH now provides flexible measurement capabilities with its image processing on a rotating/tilting head. The Werth IP 40-T Sensor is a compact sensor head with telecentric optics that provides measurement of regular geometric elements and scanning of contours. This feature is also available on large coordinate measuring machines.

Using Werth's patent pending "Changeout Kinematics", the illumination ring can be exchanged for the tiny Werth Fiber Probe. The patented Werth WFP Fiber Probe allows exacting and precise contact measurements of extremely small geometries with minimal contact force. That expands the area of applications of coordinate measuring considerably, noted the company.
