A robust new line of high-performance formed coiled heaters for runnerless molding operations from Durex (Cary, IL) is built for continuous operation at up to 1250°F. It features a rectangular sheath designed to evenly distribute wattage over the entire nozzle assembly length for optimizing heat uniformity and improving flow characteristics.

Their assemblies are transitioned to flexible lead wires of either Teflon or fiberglass insulation with an additional protective jacket, which can be either heavy-walled fiberglass sleeving or stainless steel braid. Want more? Stainless steel armor jacketing also is available. And most designs feature an internal thermocouple for direct temperature detection, so you don?t need a separate sensor. And they?re available in just about any ID and length dimension you can think of.?CK
