A closed-loop system approach to liquid color delivery eliminates many of the hassles of standard liquid coloring solutions, such as mess, waste, and disposal costs, while reducing environmental impact. OnColor Complete from PolyOne Corporation (Cleveland, OH) provides state-of-the-art liquid colorants in returnable, refillable drums with integrated metering systems.

John Van Hulle, president, PolyOne Global Color, Additives & Inks, explains, "For the first time, processors have a cost-effective, stress-free and sustainable solution that allows them to lower their total cost of operations and leverage the inherent advantages of liquid color."

Liquid colorants are said to be an excellent choice for PET applications such as bottles, where they offer low let-down ratios and excellent dispersion. OnColor Complete Liquid Color Solutions are currently available in North America and Europe, and will be launched in Asia during the second quarter of this year.-immeditorial@ubm.com
