THERMOFORMING: Compact sheet line gives big advantages

The Mirex Smart is a compact, standard thermoforming sheet line for the medium- and low-performance range of processed material. It handles widths ranging from 700-900 mm of extruded film structures with a throughput capacity of 200-450 kg/hr, depending on resin processed. For monolayer sheet, it is equipped with an extruder having a 70 or 80 mm diameter, wear-resistant screw, and an AC drive. For coextrusion up to three layers, the extruders are equipped with 35-mm-diameter screws. The TZ03 sheet die with external deckling, has a flex lip for film thickness variations ranging from 0.3-1.5 mm. For multilayer materials the REIcofeed coextrusion system with flexible slide adjustment ensures film-layer thickness precision. The Mirex W vertical polishing stack has a hydraulic roll set system, a motorized nip adjustment device, and functions in widths of 700-900 mm.
