Touch-free mass measurement

A new portable electronic scale that operates by waving hands over sensors to speed weighing, portioning and counting, and prevent cross contamination has debuted from Ohaus Corp (Pine Brook, NJ). The Navigator XT is a series of portable electronic scales that feature two touchless infrared sensors which can be set up independently to provide up to 36 combinations of functions without touching the keys.  Designed to speed operation and prevent cross contamination, it provides ≤1 second stabilization and is suitable for counting, percent weighing, checkweighing, display hold, and accumulation/totalization applications.

AllianceThe Ohaus Navigator  XT has a 400% overload rating and is available in 3.2 x 0.0002 lb. to 32 x 002 lb. capacities.  Standard features include a 0.78", 6-digit, 7-segment LCD with a white LED backlit display; sealed keyboard; 9" x 6.9" stainless steel pan; and an internal rechargeable battery with automatic shut-off that operates up to 100 hours on a full charge.  Skid-resistant leveling feet provide stability and a menu lock switch protects against unwanted changes.
