Article-The 3D-printing medical breakthroughs of the year (so far): Star Wars

A 7-year-old boy, who was born without part of his left arm, received a surprise visit earlier this year from Stormtroopers bearing a gift: a 3D-printed Star Wars–inspired prosthetic arm. The device was printed by John Peterson of Augusta, GA, with help from the e-NABLE community, and cost about $300, a fraction of the cost of a standard prosthetic arm.
