Met-L-Flo Inc. (Sugar Grove, IL), a 3D printing and rapid prototyping service bureau, announced that it is the first North American service bureau to work with Roboze (Bari), an Italy-based company that manufactures additive manufacturing (AM) machines. Utilization of Roboze technology is available immediately at Met-L-Flo, said the company.
With more than 30 years of service, Met-L-Flo provides additive manufacturing capabilities to a variety of industries including aerospace, defense, medical and industrial. Met-L-Flo’s commitment to quality is solidified in the company’s certificates including AS 9100, ITAR and ISO 9000.
“The ability to use the Roboze high-temperature materials and printers is exciting,” said Carl Dekker, President of Met-L-Flo. “We hope these materials will allow us to produce additional applications for our customer—we are especially excited to see where this takes AM in defense.”
Roboze specializes in additive manufacturing applications in aviation, defense, space and various manufacturing sectors using the fused filament fabrication (FFF) process. Roboze’s beltless system technology allows for positioning accuracy of up to 25 microns because of the patented rack-and-pinion mechatronic motion in the x-y axis, said Met-L-Flo.
