Union Tech Inc. and RP Sales America host launch event of SL 3D printers for North American market

Union Tech Inc. (Houston, TX), a wholly owned subsidiary of Shanghai Union Technology Corp., and RP Sales America Inc. will host a launch event on October 26 and 27 to introduce the UnionTech RSPro product line of stereolithography (SL) 3D-printers for the North American market. The event will be held at the New Sharon, IA, headquarters of RP Sales America, the North American distributor of the UnionTech RSPro SL equipment.

The event will feature hands-on equipment demonstrations and presentations by RP Sales America and RP Support America as well as Somos, a product brand of DSM. The UnionTech RSPro equipment line features four models, two of which—the Pilot SD and RSPro 600—will be on site at the launch event. Potential customers are welcome to submit part specifications in advance of the event; the results will be on-hand to demonstrate the equipment’s capacity for producing high-quality parts, prototypes and more, said the company’s release. One machine will be running during the event.

There will be opportunities for benchmarking and a display of application examples from Shanghai Union Technology Corp., which has 15 years of commercial stereolithography manufacturing experience.

“We are excited to introduce the UnionTech RSPro equipment line to the North American market,” said Dan Terpstra, President of RP Sales America. “Our company was founded on traditional midwestern values of integrity and strong relationships, so when we put our name behind a product, our customer can be sure we have confidence in its quality. We can’t wait to welcome our guests to our facility and show off what these machines can do, not to mention share some Iowa food and fun.”

The RSPro line features platform sizes ranging from 250 to 800 sq mm. The widely used Magics software from Materialise easily accomplishes part preparation. The resulting parts feature excellent surface quality and layer thicknesses of 0.05 to 0.08 mm, depending on the model.

An open invitation is extended to OEMs, service bureaus and media throughout North America. A confirmed RSVP is requested. Interested parties can obtain further information and RSVP by e-mailing [email protected] or [email protected].
