Additives supplier plans substantial amides expansion

The supplier, Croda, uses that Hull site for the manufacture of amide slip additives which are used in a wide range of polymers.  The company is the largest supplier of these and, with this planned expansion, set to grow even larger.

Commenting on the plans, Andy Bramley, director of Croda's site in Hull, said, "Croda has made and continues to make many investments at the Hull site to ensure it remains a modern, efficient, and world class facility. As well as output and productivity improvements, recent investments have included a 2MW wind turbine which helps to provide a substantial part of the site's energy needs and improve our carbon footprint.  This latest announcement is the next step to increase the output of the site and ensure we remain at the forefront of production technology".
