Advanced solid flow analysis software

A solid element moldfilling and cooling simulation package is now available for use in part engineering, mold design, and the determination of optimum processing conditions. This upgrade to the faSolid programs of the TMconcept product line includes the first commercially practical 3-D solid element moldfilling, packing, shrinkage/warpage, and cooling simulation software. It also extends to family molds and sequential molding analysis.

The program features user-controlled automatic meshing from STL files, which reportedly makes it capable of modeling complex geometries. It also features fast model preparation and short computing times on PCs. An easy-to-use interface reportedly helps customers cut time and costs from plastics molding design and operations.
