Arburg officially opened its new 1,500 sq mt machine warehouse in China with an inauguration ceremony on November 22. Following the inauguration ceremony, guests were treated to a presentation featuring four applications for the automotive, medical and packaging technology sectors on Allrounder injection molding machines.

"It's a great honor for me to attend the official inauguration of our new warehouse in Shanghai in the name of the Arburg parent company," said Benjamin Franz, Arburg business development Manager Asia. "Arburg has reached a new milestone in its operations in China, and it will certainly not be the last." During his speech, Franz said that customers in Asia will now benefit from shorter delivery times. The new warehouse in the Waigaoqiao free trade zone holds a selection of hydraulic, hybrid and electric Allrounders as well as Multilift robotic systems for the Asian market. The Allrounder machines will be adapted to individual requirements.

Arburg has been present with its own organizations in Asia for 25 years. Today, around 60 employees provide customer support - from sales, applications technology consulting and training, through to technical support. Whereas initially, the customers were mainly global players from the West, every second customer comes from within the region today. A further trend is that the quality of the machines which Arburg exports to China is increasing. This is evidenced by a growing proportion of electric Allrounder machines featuring robotic systems and complete turnkey systems.
