Advanced Design & Manufacturing event rocks Cleveland in March

Issues that matter for the automotive supply chain will be front and center at the inaugural Advanced Design & Manufacturing (ADM) Cleveland trade show and conference. The event comes to the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland on March 29 and 30.

Automation equipment will be among the technologies featured on the ADM Cleveland show floor.

ADM Cleveland will feature a two-day conference track devoted to lightweighting and drivetrain-efficiency strategies targeted to suppliers in all tiers as well as automotive OEMs. Experts in their fields will address the status of the corporate average fuel economy (CAFE) mandate, the use of high-performance plastics and composites to achieve fuel-efficiency goals and a peek inside BMW’s next-gen lightweighting plant. Other conference tracks will focus on medical manufacturing and the smart factory.

On the show floor, suppliers of automation equipment, CAD/CAM systems, injection molding and contract manufacturing services, rapid prototyping technologies and much more will exhibit their newest offerings that will help companies bring projects to market faster and cheaper.

ADM Cleveland, which is billed as northeast Ohio’s only comprehensive design and manufacturing event, features five zones—Design and Manufacturing, Automation Technology Expo (ATX), Medical Design & Manufacturing (MD&M), PLASTEC and Pack—covering the full range of products and services routinely sourced by OEMs.

The automotive supply chain has a new rendezvous. UBM America’s newest design and manufacturing trade show and conference debuts in Cleveland, OH, on March 29 and 30, 2017. On one show floor, PLASTEC Cleveland, part of Advanced Design & Manufacturing (ADM) Cleveland, showcases five zones—packaging, automation and robotics, design and manufacturing, plastics and medical manufacturing. Hundreds of suppliers and numerous conference sessions offer sourcing and educational opportunities targeted to the automotive and other key industry sectors. Go to the PLASTEC Cleveland website to learn more and to register to attend.

In addition to the conference tracks, free educational opportunities abound on the show floor. These include presentations and demonstrations at Center Stage and in the Tech Theater as well as curated Innovation Tours highlighting some of the novel technologies on display.

Finally, networking opportunities are facilitated at the Connection Corner, where attendees can meet up with other professionals in a relaxed atmosphere, and a Speed Networking space, where conversations are distilled into five-minute sessions. And, because Cleveland truly does rock, there’s a welcome reception with free drinks and snacks.
