Bosch Rexroth joins efforts for emissions reduction
Doing its part to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, Bosch Rexroth (Hoffman Estates, IL; www.boschrexroth-us.com) announced it is participating in the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX; www.chicagoclimatex.com), an emissions reduction, registry, and trading program. The company is taking part in this effort through its parent organization, the Bosch Group. BR’s commitment is to reduce emissions by 6% at its U.S. operations by 2010, using its average emissions in 2000 as a baseline.
CCX began trading in 2003 and is the self-proclaimed world’s first and North America’s only legally binding, rules-based greenhouse gas emissions allowance trading system.
