Boy Machines realigns organization, Koch leaves presidency

Article-Boy Machines realigns organization, Koch leaves presidency

Boy Machines Inc. (Exton, PA), the sole U.S. importer of the German-made Boy injection molding machines, has realigned its management structure, with Robert Koch leaving the president's post and Carl Schiffer, managing partner of Dr. Boy GmbH and co-owner of Boy Machines Inc., taking over as president.

The realignment plan, which the company and Koch say was underway for some time, came together with the very recent hiring of Marko Koorneef to fill the newly created position of VP sales & service. Tony Lengetti continues as VP finance.

Koch told PlasticsToday that the plan came about as a result of his saying that he would like to retire. Management, however, has prevailed on him to stay with the company in another capacity. Following a period of management transition, he will relocate to his hometown of Cleveland, OH, where he will oversee sales in the Midwest region and handle special assignments for Boy.

Carl Schiffer thanked Koch for his long and loyal service. Koch has served as Boy Machines president for the past eight years, prior to which he was national sales manager. Boy Machines has been selling the well-known Boy injection systems in North America for 40 years.
