Netstal has officially launched its new subsidiary, Netsal Máquinas, S. de R.L. de C.V., marking a strategic expansion in the key Mexican market.

The move comes as part of the company’s continued growth under the Krones Group umbrella, reinforcing its global presence and commitment to providing local expertise in sales and customer service.

Switzerland-based Netstal is a supplier of injection molding machines to the beverage market (PET preforms and caps) as well as to the medical and thin-wall packaging sectors. The Krones Group in 2024 reached an agreement for the purchase of 100% of Netstal Maschinen AG from plastics processing machinery company KraussMaffei.

Netstal is taking over the operations and employees of iTech Latinoamérica, which previously represented the company in Mexico. Since iTech’s founders have elected to dissolve the company, the newly established Netstal Mexico team will inherit the existing customer base and expand service offerings in the region.

The local subsidiary, based in the city of Santiago de Querétaro, will be led by José Lelo de Larrea, co-founder of iTech Latinoamérica and former managing partner. Lelo de Larrea, who has been instrumental in developing the Mexican market for Netstal products since 2023, will now focus on driving the next phase of growth in Mexico as the managing director of the subsidiary.

With the integration of seven new employees across sales, customer service, and administration, Netstal Mexico is set to offer enhanced support in key sectors, including PET, closures, packaging, and medical applications.

Renzo Davatz, CEO of Netstal, emphasized the importance of this move in the company’s broader strategy.

“After launching our Dubai subsidiary earlier this year, Mexico represents another key milestone in our global expansion,” he said. “We’re excited to welcome José and his team to the Netstal family and look forward to strengthening our market position in this growing region.”

Nadeem Amin, president of Netstal Americas, added that the new subsidiary is positioned to serve customers even better by combining cutting-edge technology with the expertise of a local team.

“We’re confident this will help our customers optimize production efficiency and achieve their goals, particularly in the fast-growing markets of PET, closures, and medical applications,” Amin said.

Lelo de Larrea expressed gratitude for the opportunity to lead the new subsidiary, highlighting his excitement about the future.

“I’m thankful to the Netstal team for their trust, and we are eager to focus on providing our customers with high-quality, technologically advanced machines and complete systems. We’re committed to delivering local, personalized support to meet our customers' evolving needs."

As Netstal continues its global expansion, the establishment of the Mexico subsidiary represents a significant step in reinforcing its position as a leader in injection molding technology. The new team in Mexico will play a pivotal role in helping the company meet the growing demand for innovative, efficient solutions across diverse industries.
