United Solutions buys Rubbermaid totes business

United Solutions, a Leominster, MA–based plastics processor specializing in consumer goods including totes, garbage cans, paint accessories, food storage and organizers for home and office, has acquired the Rubbermaid consumer storage tote business from Newell Brands Inc. (Atlanta, GA). The purchase price was not disclosed.

According to Newell Brands information, the consumer storage totes business has approximately $70 million in annual sales. Newell Brands and United Solutions will enter into a five-year licensing agreement for the use of the Rubbermaid brand name.

United Solutions promotes its products as “Made in the USA” at the company’s three molding facilities: Leominster, MA; Sardis, MS; and Gilbert, AZ.
