Mississagua, ON — As the company prepares for its 10th anniversary, including an August 23-25 open house, CDS (Lachine, QC) is also in the final stages of a 20,000-sq-ft expansion, which will be finalized by late May and allow the company to add extrusion lines to run die and downstream equipment trials. Alan Benlolo, CDS marketing manager, told MPW at the recent Plast-Ex event outside Toronto that the expansion will increase headcount from 175 to 185.
CDS grew out of Metaplast, a Canadian manufacturer of extrusion equipment. A group of Metaplast employees launched CDS in 1997 to create customized downstream machinery for the extrusion of thermoplastics and thermoset pipes, profiles, and tubes.[email protected]
