WELDING

Designed specifically for the medical market, the new Medialog line of ultrasonic welders comply with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements for clean rooms, operating dust free. Launched in North America at MD&M West (Anaheim, CA), the Medialog is designed specifically for clean rooms, featuring stainless steel construction, and a pneumatic filter to collect incoming air, with exhaust captured after welding. In addition, a software program provides part-to-part traceability, satisfying FDA quality-control requirements. Te meet the requirements, the system provides customized individual access authorization for predefined, controlled, and limited access to parameters. Electronic signatures further secure authenticity, completeness, and confidentiality of data. The system is based of the previously established line of Dialog welding systems, and is available in two sizes with welding performance up to 5000W and frequencies of 20, 30, or 35 kHz. The control in based on Windows XP, and the manufacturer offers a target performance comparison between the reference and actual welds on a 12-inch full-color touch-screen display. The control also allows the welding process to be optimized via curve progression for finite weld quality optimization. Herrmann Ultraschalltechnik GmbH & Co.
