A new Clear Tube option on the Feedmax line of vacuum loaders features a borosilicate glass tube allowing for quick, visual checks on loaders from across a shop floor. The units come in feed rates from 100 to 6000 lb/hr (45-2730 kg/hr) and feature a pneumatic discharge valve, eliminating maintenance that can come with flapper designs.
The loader's top-loading hinge is supported by steel posts and three quick-release toggle clamps, allowing relatively easy access to the loader interior. The loader's center section is held by a band clamp and all material-contact surfaces are made of stainless steel. The unit also has a proximity sensor on the Clear Tube assembly that can be positioned with set screws to monitor material levels.
The loaders are available in Just-In-Time models with compressed-air loading; IMX loaders with integral vacuum motors, or single-unit FMX loaders for centralized systems. They run off standard 110V and off-the-shelf 24V ASI direct-wired or touch-screen controls. Wittmann Inc., Torrington, CT, USA; +1 860-496-9603; www.wittmann-ct.com
