Americhem expands global reach with acquisition of India’s Prescient Color Ltd.

Compounder Americhem Inc. (Cuyahoga Falls, OH) announced today that it has acquired Prescient Color Ltd. (Pune, India), a wholly owned subsidiary of Sudarshan Chemical Industries Ltd. Prescient is a leading Indian producer of high-end masterbatches in several attractive niche applications, including synthetic fibers, said Americhem in making the announcement. The acquisition complements its position in the global synthetic fiber market and expands its geographic reach in a high growth region, the company added.

By acquiring India's Prescient Color Ltd., Americhem will expand its position in the global synthetic fiber market.

Prescient has built strong customer relationships and offers best-in-class fiber development technology, according to the press release.
