Prescient Color Ltd. (Pune) is a leading Indian producer of high-end masterbatches in several attractive niche applications, including synthetic fibers, according to the acquisition announcement from Americhem (Cuyahoga Falls, OH).

Compounder Americhem Inc. (Cuyahoga Falls, OH) announced today that it has acquired Prescient Color Ltd. (Pune, India), a wholly owned subsidiary of Sudarshan Chemical Industries Ltd. Prescient is a leading Indian producer of high-end masterbatches in several attractive niche applications, including synthetic fibers, said Americhem in making the announcement. The acquisition complements its position in the global synthetic fiber market and expands its geographic reach in a high growth region, the company added.

By acquiring India's Prescient Color Ltd., Americhem will expand its position in the global synthetic fiber market.

Prescient has built strong customer relationships and offers best-in-class fiber development technology, according to the press release. Its “operating model and core values align with Americhem’s,” said Matthew Hellstern, CEO, Americhem. “We will continue to build upon our key attributes: Performance, solutions and trust.”
