Plastics Color Corp. (Chicago), a global producer of colorants, compounds, additive masterbatches and custom polymers, reports that its five-year plan to rebrand its products and upgrade infrastructure is on course. The company says that it has made significant capital investments in line with a new strategic vision initiated at the beginning of 2015 to guide the company into the next decade.

Plastics Color Corp. The initial phase called for a re-branding of Plastics Color products and services, and currently Plastics Color is investing in infrastructure upgrades. The new investment program will include expenditures for more color formulators, augmenting its inside sales staff and key infrastructure development, according to Joe Byrne, president of the company since March 2014.

Plastics Color has ordered capital expenditures for site development, building construction and renovation. In addition, the invested funds will be directed toward various lab enhancements, including PET blowmolding capabilities for product development and color matching purposes.

"The primary benefit for our customers is that these investments increase our product development capabilities," said Byrne. "This will allow Plastics Color Corp. to bring new products to market more quickly."

The company operates manufacturing facilities in California, Illinois, North Carolina and China.
