Chicago, IL—The Dyna-Purge Division of Shuman Plastics Inc. introduced at NPE its latest technology breakthrough—new and improved Dyna-Purge X engineered purging compound for use in a broad range of extrusion applications. Dyna-Purge is exhibiting at this week's NPE 2009 in Chicago, booth #S17110 at McCormick Place.
Tim Cutler, Dyna-Purge business manager, said the enhanced formulation of new Dyna-Purge X offers dual-action scrubbing for cleaning the toughest areas, while lowering purging costs. "Lab trials comparing chemical and mechanical (abrasive) brands with mechanical (non-abrasive) Dyna-Purge X showed a dramatic reduction in total cost-to-purge using our new grade. The end result was a cost-to-purge of $2.81 for Cyna-Purge X versus the chemical product at $18.46 and the mechanical (abrasive) purging compound at $6.23"
Cutler noted that customers who had been using the original Dyna-Purge X have made the switch to the new version and have experienced even better purging results. They are said to be able to use much less Dyna-Purge X and say it is easier to post purge with the new grade.
Nancy MItchell, the technical product manager, added, "The pruging compound is engineered to clean and remove degraded resins faster, with less downtime. It expands to reach and clean the hardest areas, thereby delivering consistent and reliable results." Furthermore, due to its heat stability, Dyna-Purge X is well suited for shutdown and start-ups. It is easy to use, with no mixing or machine adjustments required.
As part of the new product introduction, plastics processors can take advantage of two special offers: a free 10-lb sample of Dyna-Purge X, or the purchase of a 55-lb box of Dyna-Purge X with a money-back guarantee. — [email protected]
