SPE workshops at Expoplast to explore the future of the plastics industry

The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) will present a full day of workshops at the Expoplast event in Montreal, at the Palais des Congrès de Montreal, on Wednesday, November 19. Discussions will include future trends in the plastics industry, as well as reshoring of industry, and performance minerals in plastics. Speakers include: Sébastien Lavoie, Assistant Chief Economist, Head of Economic Research Laurentian Bank Securities, talking about economic projections for 2015; Guillaume Cariou, Director, Studies and International Strategies, Mercadex International, on international manufacturing activities; and Robert Hunt, Sales Director, Trinity Resources Limited, on performance minerals. Other sessions delve into detailed plastics technology topics.

In addition, conference sessions on 3D printing and new materials used in this process will be featured on Thursday, November 20. These workshops and conference sessions are part of the Expoplast trade event, with suppliers showcasing primary processing equipment, moldmaking components, materials and other plastics resources.

Co-located with Expoplast are five other events under the same roof: PACKEX Montreal, Design & Manufacturing Montreal, ATX Montreal, PBS Montreal, and AeroCon.
