The news landscape continues to evolve and as a result, more and more readers across all types of industries are consuming news digitally.
And it's no different for plastics professionals.
PlasticsToday recently completed its annual reader survey, receiving responses to a variety of questions from more than 1,000 plastics professionals. One of the key figures is good news for trees - 74% of the audience prefers reading industry news digitally versus print.
In fact, a report from the Pew Research Center claims that 50% of the public now cites the Internet as a main source for national and international news. It's safe to say that the number will only increase in the future. We work every day to serve the informational needs of the global plastics industry in a digital centric environment, which means since the inception of PlasticsToday, we have stayed ahead of the curve.
Here are some other highlights:
- 68% of the audience visits PlasticsToday monthly
- 47% of the audience first hears about new technologies, products or companies via eNewsletters
- 56% of the audience uses LinkedIn for professional purposes
- New Technology, Market Trends, and Global Competition are the three industry issues the audience is most concerned about.
Thank you to all who participated in the survey and for your support of PlasticsToday.
