Contract manufacturer/molder buys customer's business

Precimold president Gunter Weiss, general manager Daniel Marginson, and R&D project leader John Brain, who was a co-founder of EJETL in 1988, journeyed to Newfoundland to complete the transaction in person. EJETL was originally set up in Montreal but quickly moved to Newfoundland, dedicated to saving lives of seamen and airmen in both the civilian and military sectors.

Its patented Digi-Lite soon was in widespread use on the majority of onboard life jackets in the regulated cruise line industry. The company has developed a number of other S&R products, including a world-first, patented LED product, which was also developed by John Brain.

Precision Concepts International Inc. (PCI), a division of Precimold, will be dedicated to the sales and marketing of all current and future products, and all manufacturing and final assembly work will be transferred gradually to Precimold's Candiac plant as required regulatory approvals are acquired.
