K 2010 attendees can tap some corrugated pipe expertise at the Unicor GmbH stand, with experts from its design, engineering, and aftersales service departments available in Düsseldorf. The company will also present its new UC 320 corrugator for medium-sized pipes. This machine succeeds the UC 250, of which 100 machines are in operation all over the world. The collaboration with Fränkische Maschinenbau, which has been affiliated with Unicor (Stand 16D59) since 2009, has resulted in corrugators designed with enhanced robustness, speed, and economical production, according to the firms.

In terms of die heads, the company will display its CDH, short for compact die head, which can run pipes up to 630 mm OD. Unicor says the die-head technology permits fast and easy changeover from one dimension to another, and since the changed die head is centered, the extrusion line can be restarted without loss of time or material.

For small diameters and technical pipes, the company calls its UC 15 its "best-selling workhorse of a machine." The company has built its reputation in the large-pipe market but hopes the UC 15 will help it tap into demand for smaller pipes.
