Cretex Companies Inc. (Elk River, MN), a diversified manufacturing company, announced that it has acquired the assets of S. Wickstrom Manufacturing Inc. (Redwood City, CA), a quick-turn injection molding company focused on serving the medical device and surgical instrument markets. It will become part of JunoPacific Inc. (Anoka, MN), one of the Cretex Medical group of companies. Cretex also operates in the aerospace and defense, industrial, and infrastructure markets.

Wickstrom specializes in small and medium quantity aluminum tooling of up to 200,000 parts, as well as full production steel tooling.

Expressing his delight with the acquisition, Kern Bhugra, President of JunoPacific, noted that Wickstrom has expertise in aluminum tooling and collaborates closely with its customers to deliver high quality production-grade parts in a fraction of the time and cost of conventional molding companies.

Scott Wickstrom, President of S. Wickstrom Manufacturing Inc., will remain with the company and help guide its growth, according to a press release distributed today. He has more than 30 years of experience as a plastics fabricator.

Cretex Companies Inc. employs approximately 2000 people in 36 locations throughout the United States.
