CRG Logics building new plant

Article-CRG Logics building new plant

Mike Rasner and Carl Gillig break ground on CRG Logic’s new manufacturing facility being built in Green Bay, WI.
Auxiliary equipment manufacturer CRG Logics Inc. (Green Bay, WI; www.crglogics.com) broke ground on a new, 21,000 sq. ft. corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility. Completion is scheduled for August, and more than two-thirds of the 21,000 sq. ft. building will be dedicated to manufacturing. CRG Logics manufacturers resin blending, feeding and monitoring, conveying and storage systems, control systems, and a variety of accessories for extrusion lines.
According to the firm, its rapid growth over the past two years was the key reason for the new facility, which is four times the size of its current operation. CRG Logics President Carl Gillig says business more than doubled in the past year.
CRG anticipates even greater growth in the coming years, thanks to its new Smart Connection System for the conveying and feeding of plastics. Introduced last year, the system replaces multiple feed lines with just one. Technology built into the system tracks inventory and verifies material recipes, limiting the chance of any incorrect feeds. “What’s more, the system decreases power consumption up to 35%, which can add up to a huge energy savings,” said Mike Rasner, CRG Logics’ VP for engineering.
