Cutting chamber adds longevity to granulator

The new ArmorLife cutting chamber design features replaceable steel liner plates and a heavy-duty cast ductile iron outer chassis designed for the manufacturer's Vision VGM1634 granulator to assure longevity and durability. The field-replaceable options not only allow replacement when they are worn out, but also allow a molder to adapt the granulator to changing size reduction needs. Additionally, easy access is a feature that permits quick cleanouts and maintenance.

The VGM1634 includes a 40-hp motor with solid flywheel-type drive sheave, three-blade open rotor with four edge-reversible bed knives, tray/conveyor feed soundproofed hopper, electric/hydraulic hopper opening mechanism, and a standard 5/16-inch reversible Corten steel screen. The ArmorLife system does not affect the price of the VGM1634, which starts at about $35,000.
