A report from the VDMA (German Plastics & Rubber Machinery Assn., Frankfurt/Main, Germany; www.kug.vdma.org) released in conjunction with Interplastica (Moscow, Russia, Jan. 29-Feb.1) shows that German exports of plastics and rubber machinery to Russia in the first eight months of 2007 were €177 million ($261 million), an increase of 39.9% over the same period in 2006. Of note among other top 10 exporters to Russia is the United States, which showed the highest increase in 2006—321%. Chinese exports of plastics and rubber machinery increased by 62%. A breakdown of the top 10 exporting companies can be found in the table (right).
