E-shots Web-exclusive: Plastics spread holiday cheer

It sounds just like Santa’s workshop: folks working together to make toys for children. But in this case, the elves are members of the Society of Plastics Engineers’ (SPE) Detroit Section, the toys are 30,000 red HDPE buses, and the recipients are needy Michigan children.

Dow Automotive (HDPE), American Plastic Toys (molding), Logistical Solutions (transportation), and Maple Press (labels) are the Detroit-area businesses donating their products and services in the 2006 SPE toy drive, now in its sixth year.
