Ejector cushion protects investment

This ejector cushion acts as a shock absorber for the ejector system of an injection molding press. Known as the Smartflow K-Link, the cushion helps protect the mold, ejector bars, and the press from fatigue caused by the part ejection process. It also protects against a maladjusted ejector home position up to 1 mm, or .040 inch.

The cushion can be used alone with solid knockouts or it can be combined with the Smartflow FasTie quick-ejector tie-in system. It measures 3.75 inches long with a 1-inch diameter. Threaded connections are ½-13 male and female straight threads. This unit is suitable for use in presses of up to 500 tons; it costs $123.
