Ejector pins in tenths

A complete line of through-hardened ejector/core pins offered in .0001-inch increments that are built to extend mold life and reduce downtime have been introduced by Royal Diversified Products (Warren, RI). Trademarked the Royal PTD True-Hard Series M-2 ejector/core pins, they are through-hardened and tempered to 60-63 Rockwell C, and their diameters are precision-ground after hardening to ensure ±.0003-inch accuracy.

They allow you to create a custom fit in worn holes, thereby eliminating the need for intense hole grinding and reducing downtime, while allowing more parts to be produced per mold. Supplied from stock in straight and shoulder types from .5-4 inches long, they?re offered in diameters ranging from .0312-.250 inch.

Uniformly hardened between the case and core, these pins can be ground and modified without weakening or chipping, and they won?t ?dish? when working with filled materials, according to the company. They?re priced from $5 each, depending on style, size, and quantity.?CK
