To help medical device and healthcare manufacturers understand this material, Bernie Stritzke, author of "Custom Molding of Thermoset Elastomers: A Comprehensive Approach to Materials, Mold Design, and Processing,” published July 2009, will provide important information that medical-product manufacturers need to know.
Additionally, Fred Sadr, technical director, MedPlast Elkhorn, with over 40 years in product and process development activities relating to elastomeric materials engineering, tooling and manufacturing engineering, will integrate his materials insights with applications.
Prakash Pawar, senior engineer, Momentive Performance Materials (formerly GE Silicones), will help attendees develop a better understanding of silicone elastomeric materials and how they can be processed and molded for medical applications.
The seminar is designed to help healthcare professionals stay current with the latest developments in materials processing, develop a better understanding of elastomeric materials, and explore molding options for medical applications. Attendees will also have an opportunity to see applications in a real-world environment at MedPlast’s Elkhorn facility. The seminar is free to attend, but seating is limited.
