Curbell Plastics Inc., a national supplier of plastic sheet, rod, tube, film, adhesives, sealants and prototyping materials, announced the relocation of its two San Diego operations to one new, larger facility to better serve its customers. Located in Chula Vista, CA, the facility combines fabrication and distribution capabilities under one roof.

The 26,000-square-foot plant more than doubles the combined square footage of Curbell’s existing operations, allowing for greater efficiency and additional room to grow. The facility will also include new equipment including an Onsrud Router and a computerized Shelling saw. The two San Diego locations were recent acquisitions: M&M Plastics Inc. located in Miramar, which was acquired in July 2016, and Chula Vista–based Plastics & Metals Enterprises, dba Cal Plastics and Metals Inc., bought in December 2016. Both businesses have been operating as Curbell Plastics since the acquisitions.
“More space, new equipment and the right personnel will significantly enhance our ability to focus on our customers and their requirements,” said James Forcellina, Senior Regional Director for Curbell. “Integrating both M&M Plastics and Cal Plastics and Metals into the Curbell Plastics family has been a very smooth transition and we expect the new facility will allow us to continue to offer highly responsive customer service, both in fabrication and distribution.”
Curbell Plastics, a subsidiary of Curbell Inc., is a privately held company with a 76-year history headquartered in Orchard Park, NY. The new Chula Vista facility officially opened on May 14 with 20 employees.
